Whether it’s big or small there are things in our lives that seem impossible, right? What do you do when you’re dealing with something that feels impossible? I have a word of encouragement from the Father for you from Matthew 17 that addresses this.
A man brings his son to the disciples. His son has some mental issues. He throws himself in the fire and in the water, and the disciples are unable to heal the young man. So, the father comes to Jesus, and Jesus heals the lad, and all is well.
The disciples ask why? Why couldn’t we do it? And Jesus says,
“If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed ye shall say unto the mountain remove hence to yonder place and it shall remove and nothing shall be impossible to you. Howbeit, this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.”
We’ve got to have the faith necessary for miracles to happen. You’ve got to really, really believe it. Sometimes the only way to get that level of faith is to pray and fast (typically means going without food and water for a 24-hour period). This allows us to really zone in, get specific, get our faith bolstered through this fasting and prayer process so that we have the faith necessary — the substance from which God can create the Miracles.
So, if you’re dealing with something that feels impossible, first know that God can do all things. Then go to Him in fasting and prayer and trust. Keep a lookout for Him to start aligning things on your behalf. Expect miracles to happen. Take care and God bless!
